bayeux

We stayed in the town of Bayeux while in Normandy.
The Cathedral is almost a thousand years old. We took a walk inside and E sat down on a bench right in front of this painting.
It's Thomas Becket about to be murdered at the alter, if you look close you can see the monk with his hand hanging on only by a few strands of skin. I tried to distract her, but she said, "No, I just sit here and look at this picture for long time."
Of course, she is the girl who happily tells us each morning she had bad dreams and when I tried to explain she could pray for good dreams she asked, "I pray for bad dreams?" So I'm not sure what to think.

That cathedral is one of the most gorgeous ones I've seen!

If you're worried about the Thomas Becket painting you may not want to mention the various body parts most cathedrals claim to have as relics...

What an awesome Cathedral. That is a pretty sick hand though. I 'm sure E will forget it soon.
