Since there was no way an airline was going to let Amy or me on an 18 hour flight at 32 and 34 weeks pregnant, we were going to be celebrating Christmas in Thailand. Luckily we had some family willing to make the marathon flight out to spend it with us. A few hours after my parents and younger siblings landed in Bangkok, we headed back to the airport to catch a quick flight to the beach.
Nok Airways briefly debated not letting Amy and I on the flight but after we agreed to see and pay for a visit to the airport doctor--who cleared us to fly, they gave us our boarding passes.
E had spent the last few weeks of fog and cold weather in Switzerland planning everything she would do when we got to the beach. Here are some of the things we got to:
Not actually on our list--but it would have been if we had known elephants take baths in the ocean.
Last summer, E spent her time at the beach playing only in the sand and avoiding the water, this time she found a new love, body surfing in the waves.
Thanks to a letter from my brother Sam, on a mission, where he said Hannah didn't have it in her to bungy jump, we made a quick pit stop that Rocky took advantage of.
And then it was time to go home.

Looks like a blast. :) We didn't have a white Christmas here either. The closest beach is a bit salty for my taste. :) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. :)
What an awesome trip. E looks like she is still loving life. Guess we'll have to believe the elephant story. Thanks for all the GREAT pictures.
This is my kind of Christmas.
