Fresh fruit is one of my favorite things about Thailand, and mangosteen is one definitely in my top three favorite fruits. We probably don't buy it enough but we do grab it whenever Eliot sees it. "Me what that 'stinging mango.'"
It rained yesterday and we decided to take advantage of a drop in temperatures to head out for some shopping. It had been hours since it rained so when Elie wanted to wear her rain boots, I tried to change her mind. I was worried they would be too heavy--she's used to only crocs, we had a long walk and when I have to carry the stroller down the sky train steps, I can't worry about her sitting at the top telling me her feet disappeared and she can't find them to walk.Anyways, while we were in the mall, it rained hard and when we came out, there were puddles every where. Elie was so proud of her boots. She kept saying, "Me glad me wear my boots. Why you not wear you're boots?" And she splashed in every puddle she could, no matter how murky the water. Unfortunately, I wore flip flops and had to walk right next to her.
Rocky went to Laos for a few day, so I did a little sleep training with Vi. She was so cute it was hard to put her down. But she was even cuter and happier the next day--so it was worth it.
Every once and a while to power box for our street blows up. It sounds like a car bomb and our apartment gets pretty warm inside fast. I know most of Bangkok lives without AC, but Violet does not, so Amy and I took the kids to an indoor play place so the babies could sleep.
Last Sunday we took a walk through Lumpini Park. It's a huge park in the heart of Bangkok. I'd been filling Rocky and E full of ideas of how awesome the giant lizards are that roam the park. We didn't see a single one. Apparently they sleep in the mud when it's so hot.
She's a sweet heart. Today at church I found three giant stickers on her, courtesy of her sister, including one that covered almost half her face. Elie is constantly asking when Violet will be old enough to play with her, well in between telling me she want's to poke her eyes and squeeze her head. The clearly are not left alone together.
Elie and Rocky picked up some matching "team" outfits at Chattachuk." She would prefer to wear her gymnastic leotard 24/7, but she tolerates her team outfit for Rocky.

Where is the picture of Rocky in the team outfit?
The story of Eliot jumping in puddles is so cute. I love Violet's smile too.
Love seeing the pictures of Violet! Seems she is growning fast. Her hair is looking a little lighter. Or maybe it is just drier. I'm so happy Elie has boots again. She just wouldn't be Elie without her boots.
