She rolls all the time. She prefers to be on her stomach and as soon as you set her down, she's off her back and on her tummy. Hence the leggings. I know it seems cruel to put a Bangkok baby in leggings but her knees have just been getting rubbed raw.
We went to the doctor for her 4 month check up, where we learned she is down in weight (from the 95% to the 90%) and still in the 90% for height. She's still built like a solid brick with limbs--like her sister was/is.
E and Rocky came to the appointment too. E kept talking about how excited she was to see "Biolet get shot" but when Vi did get her shots, she ran out of the room with her hands over her face--which is exactly what I always want to do.
I can't believe how different Vi is from E already. She's getting her own look, but even more she's getting her own personality. Her smiles are not given as freely as E, she's so much more calm and peaceful. We call her "Sweet Vi."
The mop top has seen some balding from the 20 minutes total she spends on her back per day.
Luckily she has enough hair to do a successful comb over.
For awhile we thought she was losing her hair, but then we realized her head is just growing and those small hairs are the new hair growing in. Her hair is hilarious right now as the tips are dark brown and the roots light blonde--altogether it's still awesome.
Rocky and I joke that Vi looks like she's always surprised. We say she's, 'always seeing a ghost.' Elie picked up on it and now when she looks at Vi she laughs and says, "Mom, Biolet being a ghost!"
Notice the brachiosaurus sticker on her forearm. I think stickers on babies are like prison tats. If Vi could talk she would probably brag about the tough escapades of having a very exuberant, loving,
Vi is still undecided about E, sometimes she laughs and smiles at her, but usually there is a ghost look, followed by some quick rolls in the opposite direction. Which backfires as then I catch E trying to roll her back, "No, no, no Bi! No wolling 'way from me!"
I think she's getting a few teeth. She's still sweet.
This is her, 'you've kept me awake for more than an hour' look!
Perhaps her greatest talent is falling asleep unassisted for her naps and usually at night. I just lay her down and leave her. She smiles at me then rolls to her side, sucks her pacifier a few times, and then rolls on to her stomach to fall asleep It's bliss.
