disneyland hong kong

Our first stop in Hong Kong was, of course, Disneyland. Not only because E seems to control our lives, but also because I figured we should do the things on our list that involved crowds of people before our kids became too vacation sleep deprived.

E had been talking about it for weeks. Disneyland has it's own line and stop on the local metro, so getting there was easy--getting E to leave was not.
This was at the beginning of the day. A few hours in we starting saying, "no" to all the strangers who asked to take pictures of the girls. This was actually a Disneyland photographer who told us he would edit the picture to put Tinkerbell in her hands. We never bothered to go check it out.
Disneyland Hong Kong is a smaller version than it's American counterpart without some of the bigger rides--perfect for Elie's age. There are almost no lines, we only saw two rides with lines longer than 5 minutes. Compared to Disneyland, CA it's empty.
It still had the teacups. Rocky is clearly the better parent for taking her on them.
 I opted for Dumbo.
It's no wonder he's the favorite parent.
We waited about 10 minutes to see Winnie the Pooh.

We were the only people in line with kids. This was Rocky's favorite picture of the trip. He later told me that while I was on one of the rides with E, he stood in line hoping to get a pic of him and Winnie. He wasn't going to say anything, just having me find it on the camera. Unfortunately, Vi didn't cooperate and instead, had a blow out all over her stroller. It's a bummer as I would have definitely framed it, life size, and hung it in our entryway.
I love this picture. The Winnie the Pooh ride was her favorite.
Maybe I can just photo shop everyone else out of this picture.
Right after I took this picture, Vi tried to bite off Minnie's nose. Don't worry, I'm sure it's totally sanitary.

We're you wondering what the parents who take their baby out on Songkran and their kids to a snake farm would do next?

Obviously take their four year old on haunted Space Mountain.

When we saw the line was only 5 minutes, we knew we couldn't pass it up. E was surprisingly tall enough to ride. When she and Rocky came out she told me, "Mama, Daddy and me were both scared, it was weary, weary dark." I was impressed she went at all. Later she said she would take Abe and Mary next year, when Abe wasn't three anymore and was old enough to go (he's as tall as she is) she's living up the six weeks she's older than him.

One of the only rides she wasn't tall enough for was Grizzly Gulch. Rocky went by himself (the line was only 5 minutes) and she waited very patiently--in a row of high chairs. Some of the only high chairs in Hong Kong. After a week without one, we have decided they make the top ten list of best inventions.
Vi was a champ and took two naps.

It was so fun, every time we take Eliot, she's more excited and it's more fun. We'll need to try and make it back over here. Maybe when Abe's four and not a baby anymore.

I love this Post, 'cause I Love you guys and Disneyland! What more could I ask for. It truly must be... The happiest place on Earth, since there are no lines. I love the picture of Elie with Pooh Bear. He's never had a sweeter hug.
