Remember when kids used to look out the window and daydream on car trips. They did that 10 minutes later. Both ipads had a combined 17% battery. We just wanted to give them a taste of what their life would be like if they had parents who planned better.
I don't know why they insisted on taking a picture with the Hamburgler. They don't have any idea who is as, a. they don't live in America and b. they were not alive in the 80s or 90s.
Violet's selfie. I'm sure this is not an attempt to showcase her awesome hair, merely a misstep in her effort to get a Thomas movie playing.
Violet got this awesome swing for her birthday. We moved the rocks so now it's not as dangerous--just dangerous enough to make it fun and to make sure Violet wants nothing to do with it. On her scale of Violet dangerousness: more dangerous than cruising around her scooter at mach 2, less dangerous that putting on a pair of overalls.I took this picture to document a time when Violet wasn't wearing crocs. We couldn't find her crocs and she really wanted to go for a walk. It took several different persuasion tactics to get her into these adorable mini Pons. Have I mentioned I really hate crocs?
I hire a math tutor to come over some nights and teach them geometry. That's why they're all so enthralled. Nothing to do with that devilish tv. As you can see from the previous pictures, we're completely screen free around here.
Cousins x2. Also, Violet doing her best Tommy Boy impression.
I've been trying to get him to suck his thumb, but he's pretty set on sucking his whole fist.
I love when Winston's outfit ages him 70+ years.

Happy happy birthday! Your blog is hilarious, and I'm a major fan of your family in general.
My kids look totally enthralled when I pull out my math books.....no not really. They do like my pi cookies.
