e's water party

I really can't say enough good things about this girl. It just wouldn't be possible. Instead of waxing long with eloquent bragging, I will just say she's just a mini Rocky--happy, positive, friendly and endless fun.
Every year I swear I'm not doing a birthday party the next year and every year I get talked in to it. This year I settled for a water party, and passed on the Barbie, Frozen, bouncy house, whatever ever kind of elaborate party she was planning at any given time.

We collected plastic pools from our neighbors and filled them up with varying temperatures of water and had a water/mud fight. Rocky was the instigator and the party highlight. I keep telling him I'm going to make a listing for him on one of the local hiring sites, advertising party clown who also makes cakes.

Every time I imagine him unknowingly receiving random party job requests I smile to myself. April 1, 2015.

When Rocky was went to the party store to get supplies for his cake he came home with a pinata. Eliot's been wanting one for years. She was over the moon excited. When she found out it was elephant, she started laughing hysterically and said, 'That's great! Because my real name is Eliot the Elephant!"
Can we talk about pinatas? They are a strange concept. Let's celebrate something by whacking effigies with a bat until they break open, then we scramble around to pick up whatever fell out. Maybe we shouldn't read too much in to it, they are a great time killer at parties.

 Another Rocky masterpiece.
Eliot spent about 30 seconds before she blew out the candles making her wish. When I asked her what she wished for she told me she couldn't tell me but that it was the same thing she's been wishing for all year.

Awesome.

I have a good guess that it's also what she wants for Christmas: wings. Good luck with that one, Santa.
All of this was a little too much party for Little Vi, who spent the party on the sidelines doing puzzles for 6-8 year olds.
Winston loved the party, he pounded enough blue cake that he pooped green for several days.

Happy birthday, Eliot!

Next year no party.

Looks like Fun! Eliot is the sweetest. I would love wings too, I'm sure if Santa cant figure how to make that wish come true, Rocky will.
