It's Christmas time which means a flurry of programs. This year she was both an angel and a donkey.
Winst gets cuter everyday. He also gets into more trouble everyday. And makes more messes everyday.Santa brought a baby elephant to the school again. Violet thought long and heard about riding him. She fed him a couple bananas and thought some more.
After she told me, "That was weally fun, mom." Which is exactly what her face is saying here. She never quite got the courage up to sit on Santa's lap. Apparently elephants seem a safer bet than some stranger in a beard.
The highlight for Rocky and our kids was getting to ride home on the scooter. Which was not safe but not technically illegal. And besides, they all have ill fitting bike helmets on--that's basically as safe as a car, right?
The next day she was in another nativity. Here, I felt she really embraced her character. She played the donkey and spent the show eating straw, cleaning in between her toes, looking incredibly bored and eventually taking a nap against the hay bale.

Not safe to put grandchildren on scooters. Not even close to safe!
