Christmas at our house was magical (magically delicious if you're Scooter who likes to eat the cinnamon ornaments off the tree).
We failed at getting a picture of our kids on Christmas Eve. We invited some friends over for a dinner of food from the Holy Land (Beirut, our favorite restaurant in BKK), a nativity put on by kids which may have involved a post-nuclear apocalyptic dinosaur and Mary, wrapped head to toe in scarves (mummy-esque), and Rocky's personal version of Grandpa's Store--you had to beat him in penalty kicks to get in.
I'm pretty excited about Violet's Christmas pajamas. They were her cousin, Maeser's last year. Here's to hoping they still semi-fit next year.Sisters.
Christmas morning was exciting and lots of hugs were shared. Mainly by Eliot and her presents.
Santa Claus got at least one present right. Winston was uber excited about his new car and refused to get off all morning. Violet waited patiently for him to get off, and snatched it away.
Violet was pretty into everyone's else's presents which is probably why I'm only now remembering (two weeks later) we never bothered to put batteries in her present.
Eliot's favorite present would be a toss up between the rainbow horse leggings from her stocking and her new lizard bowl.
Rocky bought one for her a lizard bowl a couple years ago when he was burning left over cash in the Jakarta Airport. It was it's own level of ugliness and she LOVED it. I threw myself a personal party when it broke. She was devastated and insisted on keeping the broken pieces for several months. Thanks to a trip to Jakarta the week before Christmas, Rocky was able to replace it. She was thrilled, through the roof. I was less so.
Hope you all had a merry Christmas. Anyone want a lizard bowl?
