singapore thanksgiving

Of all the holidays, Thanksgiving is the one that is the hardest for us as expats. So this year we headed to the closest family we have in Singapore. My parents and Dallin were in town visiting so we had quite a large group of Hughes's.
Violet's favorite thing we did was a breakfast at the horse stables. She brought a long her horse backpack. They would probably have preferred we didn't bring Winston.
The gardens by the bay were incredible. They are also climate controlled and set at about 60 degrees. So all our kids were freezing.

Some how Vi had smuggled her blankie in, which since we down own coats, worked out well for her.

Amy had prepared everything perfectly for Thanksgiving dinner. Which is the only reason we allowed her to go into labor three weeks early the day before Thanksgiving.
In Asia it's cheaper/safer to order your dinner from a local American hotel than it would be to buy and prepare everything yourself.

We loved getting to see our newest nephew, Moses.

And we said goodbye to Dallin. Eliot won't see him again until she is nine and she cried all the way to the airport to catch our return flight.
