not quite christmas

Here's some of the stuff we were up to in December that is not notable enough to merit it's own post but I would like to remember.
 Eating mango from Vietnam.
Making chocolate bars at the Ausbach Chocolate Factory. And the arrival of our elf, Hollypop. She's filling in for the wiseman who is now filling our trash in several pieces. (I love having a girl elf on the shelf but not as much as I love having a creepy elf.) I overheard Eliot explaining our elf to her siblings, "She likes to just sit a lot. At first she moves each night but then she gets tired and stays in the same place."
If we are ever not at home, there is a good chance we are at our second home--the Transport Museum, also known as 'Winston Heaven'. And yes, that is a full size airplane in the background.
Killing time while their mom tries to convince the local authorities to give her baby a birth certificate despite the failure to produce original birth certificates, less than six months old, for every member of the family. #bureaucracy
 Two months old.
 At least someone loves mum.
One weekend when Rocky was away, and I was feeling like a family of shut ins, I made everyone hike the mountain before they could begin their weekend tutoring session with Mario and Luigi. Winston was the only one who made it to the top. He was also the only one who was not sick the next day, chicken or the egg....
