Our next door neighbor is a barn. A few months ago we went over and asked if we could buy some of their fresh milk. Since then we have been going over a few times a week with some liter glass bottles and buying milk. It is Violet's happy place. She loves cows and asked Santa for a real cow for Christmas. He brought her a fairy playmobil set.
When she goes to get milk, she hugs and kisses the cows and hates to leave. The other day, our neighbor messaged us that a baby cow was coming and asked if we wanted to come. Rocky took the girls over right away--the appropriate response, right? It was the highlight of Violet's life. She hasn't stopped talking about it for days, to anyone who will listen. She decided for her birthday party she wants to go to the barn and have a baby cow be born as her present. Is there a Chuck-Cheese franchise in Switzerland? Is a cow birth birthday party an option there?
All Eliot had to say about the birth was that there was a lot of blood involved.

Also, this is the report Eliot did on Rocky at age 8. It was fun to watch her interview him and compare his life to hers. She's jealous he had his own desk and wonders what the food jell-o tastes like.

It's so great that Violet had that once-in-a-lifetime experience! And so interesting that she and Elie viewed it so differently. I miss that fresh milk --most delicious milk EVER!
