oscar overload

The problem with having a camera that has the option to send photos directly to your smart phone, is that I never bother to plug it in to my computer and upload all the pictures. I finally did but only because my camera's battery died and that is the easiest way to charge it.

I found loads of pictures of Oscar. You're welcome.

These ones were from last month. It's fun to see how he has changed in just a few weeks.

And yes, I'm not creative enough to set up backdrops or ever move my kids around to take pictures of them. This rug, that Rocky bought in a market in Mongolia three years ago, is where we spend 70% of our playing time. (It's been professionally cleaned several times.)

I have a rule that any toys not on this rug can disappear when I clean--but this is a safe zone. If the toys are at least corralled here, it is easy to scoop them up into a basket. If I even say the word vacuum, Winston runs around like he is on hot coals, snatching up all his train and cars and quickly ferrying them onto the soft rug. It's adorable and I'm going to be more than slightly disappointed when he realizes I can't actually vacuum up his trains.
Winston got that plane (jet, as he insists) for filling up his sticker chart. Right now we live and die by the sticker chart. We have them for everything: German practice, chores, getting up in time for the bus. He earned his plane by staying in bed until the sun came up for fourteen mornings. Money well spent.
Oscar does have some new hair growing in but it is very short and very blonde. His long dark locks from birth make a solid comb over. Today we changed it up and the girls gave him a Sabbath-mohawk.

He still is getting used to the bumbo but likes the change of perspective for a short time.

Whenever I take pictures of Oscar, this is what the whole scene looks like. Everyone involved (Winston got distracted by driving his train through the "mud") and making silly faces and sounds to help him smile.

This boy is very loved.

Whether he wants it or not.

The image of Winston running around gathering up his trains to go on the rug is hilarious!
