summer begins.

We made it to Utah in time to say good bye to my parents before they left for the Philippines for three years.

Then we said good bye to them again after their stay at the MTC.

Then we said goodbye to them again after their flight was cancelled. 

Then they left. 

 We tried our best to enjoy the summer without them.

 Cousins always help.

 So does always having chess competition and sweeping the swim team meets.

 We had a big pizza/pool party for Rocky's fortieth birthday.

 As usual, the summer took its toll on Violet's hair. We are several tomato washes into summer and it's still tinted green.

 These boys enjoyed summer.

 And of course the girls did.

We already miss cousins and swimming and lazy summer days.
