not really.

E started preschool this past week. She was only three weeks late but had no problem jumping right in. After school I asked her teacher how she was doing and she replied, "She has no reservations." So, yeah...it's true. She loves it. On the way home today, I told her there was no school tomorrow and she said, "Yay! No school. Wait, school's fun. Awww."

Her class has a note station where they can write notes to one another by gluing their picture in the 'from' slot and their friends picture in the 'to'. So far Elie has only used it to send notes to and from herself, he's a bit narcissistic I suppose--it maybe that she's still getting to know her class. Rocky gave her the homework of remembering the name of one of her friends.  She came home and told us the name of a Disney princess. We only believe her because we live in Thailand, sometimes I wouldn't be surprised if ALL the Disney princesses had namesakes in her class.

Often E uses the note station to make drawings to bring home and then signs them with her picture. Like this one, she proudly showed to me and announced, "This us whoooole family."

In case you are not well versed in child drawings, I will interpret, Vi is the bundle, E is the figure with striped shirt and three clawed hands, Rocky is up in the 'from' box looking tired and little cross eyed, I am in the 'to' box looking wild-eyed and angry. So, I guess it's pretty accurate--why pay a photographer when I can hire my three year-old?
