Nobody is more excited about anything, than this girl was about turning five. Here are some of our favorite quotes from the past year. (Probably not actually true, but it might be.)
While reading an airplane safety manuel, "If our plane lands in water, put your life jacket on before you put mine and Violet's on." Pause, "It's a good thing you never wear those fancy shoes."
Rocky: On our way to school I corrected Elie by telling her multiple "tooths" are called teeth. I went on to say it is like goose/geese. I asked her if one goose is called a goose what are multiple goose called. She replied excitedly, "ducks!"
Eliot: I want to get big muscles so I can be super girl when I grow up. I want to be a super artist, who is super strong so I never get tired when I'm painting. I can paint and paint all day. I wish I had some carrots right now so I could eat them and grow my muscles.
While playing in her room one day, she pulled out a snow hat and said, "This is my numbers hat, I will put it on and tell you what numbers to write."
me: uh, okay.
E: Seven, ten eleven, the circle with the tail, what's that one called?
me: a Q?
E: Oh, yes! Me premember now!

Ellie and Violet are so cute! I did notice at church how Violet is so observant and quick to give a helping hand. And Winston does resemble Winston Churchill! I can't wait to meet him!
