so violet still can't talk

Violet is gearing up to be a big sister in less than 3 weeks. She cries every time Rocky or I look at or hold another baby or child under age 2. I really think she will handle the transition well.
She's completely addicted to milk. I welcome any suggestions. If it was up to her she would drink only milk and eat no food. She spends about 75% of her day crying at the fridge for milk, or carrying around her sippy cup looking for someone to fill it. When I am strict about cutting her off she usually drinks around 30 ounces. Basically she is going to have bones of granite which will hopefully off set all the nutrition deficiencies and clogged arteries that come from your diet being made up entirely of whole milk.
She also loves to swim. If you even causally mention the word, "swim"in a conversation to anyone around you, she immediately disappears and reappears with a swim suit, demanding you put it on.

She is more dangerous than ever in the pool, apparently unable to comprehend when she has her floatie on and when she doesn't. She can jump in, swim to me and swim back to the wall. Though, the verb swimming, is being used quite liberally in this instance. She does put her face in, kick and move forward a few centimeters on her own.
Of course, I assumed her love of swimming and love of playing in the sand would translate into a love of the beach. I dragged everyone down to Hua Hin for a quick weekend at the beach, I figured it would be our last chance to getaway before the baby came.

She hated it. If we even walked onto the sand she would hold on tight and quietly whimper, "naw naw naw" If you got close to the water she went into a full fledged panic attack.

We have no idea where this is stemming from. Luckily our hotel had a kid friendly pool and it rained a monsoon 95% of the time we were there anyways.
She still doesn't talk. Every day is a marathon session of charades and twenty questions. She has quite a few actions she does for things she wants, brushing her teeth and riding on my shoulders.  Mainly I just ask her different things until she nods her head. There aren't a lot off different options, she usually just wants milk or Thomas and Percy, her trains she sleeps.

Sometimes I'll be in a different room and I'll hear a crash. Vi will come running in, crying and, clutching her leg, arm or whatever body part she hurt. I will simply say, "Oh, did you fall and hurt your leg." She will nod and say, "ja" (which I've decided is halfway between Thai, "kah" and English, "yes.") The tears then disappear and she happily returns to whatever dangerous feat she was attempting to accomplish.
She loves being helpful and if she over hears anyone looking for something, she often runs and gets it. The other night I asked E where her blankie was and Violet immediately put down her milk and ran to find Eliot's blankie. When she returned, Eliot lifted her head from her pillow and said, in strangely high voice, "Oh, what a sweetie."

Yesterday, Rocky casually asked me if I knew where his phone was and Violet disappeared for about 30 seconds and came running right back in with his phone.
These stories are all an attempt to convince you and ourselves that it's perfectly okay that our 20 month old has a vocabulary of four words, two of which I can understand (milk and no). Because she's clearly not deaf and is really good at finding things.

I have narrowed her career options down to drug dog, scuba diving treasure hunter and mute, eccentric bounty hunter.

You've guessed it, Eliot does not own other clothes.
