We took advantage of having a large batch of family visiting and headed out to the beach.
No trip to Thailand is complete without a chance to mingle with possible disease ridden primates, so we headed out to Monkey Island. Eliot hasn't been back in nearly four years and Violet and Winston had never been--so none of them understood the horrors that awaited them at the end of the ten minute boat ride.
They were all smiles on the way out.
Winston loved the boat. He kept saying over and over again, "ride boat, ride boat" which is probably more telling of his limited vocabulary than his excitement level.
As soon as we landed, Violet hopped off the boat and lined up with these monkeys. She had now fear about feeding them bananas.
Winston was not so sure and was very relieved to be getting back on the boat with all his fingers.
We probably spent as much on ice cream cones as we did on our hotel rooms. Beach trip done right.
Crab hands.
Eliot has been thrilled beyond belief for her cousin Millie to come. They had so much fun.
Monkey island wasn't enough for this crew and we hit up the crocodile farm for some more unsafe interactions with animals
Vi is the only four year old I know who will gladly handle a bucket of fish head and toss them to hungry crocs.
More animals. Out at our favorite zoo in Chonburi.
It was hot. Really hot. Winston barely made it out alive.
I love these two sweet girls!
We needed several ice cream bar breaks. Though I should note, since they left it's gotten about ten degrees hotter.
