Winston started Waldspielgruppe. It is one morning a week, three hours in the forest for kids 3-5. He's technically not three yet, but he's incredibly attached to me and with the baby coming soon I thought some separation would be good for us. He disagreed. After crying the first hour, he refused to go back the next week. Then the week after they had an outing to a farm, where they met animals and then picked up apples and used a press to turn them into juice. He was persuaded into going. The next week it was back to the forest. He went for the price of a kinder egg. The next week, when he heard the word "school" he went back up to bed and fell asleep. We'll try again after October break.
Pre-shipment arrival we got a lot of use out of this one chatbook, as it was one of seven books we had at our house.
After traveling from Bangkok to Brisbane and then to port in Rotterdam, our shipment finally made it to our home. The moving crew brought all the boxes and furniture in (we live 2.5 floors up) but they didn't dare move our table. It continues to be the table that keeps on giving. (grief that is. That's what it is giving us.) It's a solid slab of Tahkien wood (supposedly haunted wood, I'm starting to believe it) and weighs a ton. They came back the next week with a crane.
Winston watching a crane come into his house. Fulfilling all his wildest dreams.
We bought some fishing poles and spent some time on the side of Aegerisee before realizing we needed licenses and the kids needed a significant increase in patience.
We crossed the longest suspension bridge in Europe (I think) it was frightening, ten times more so when holding a bouncing Winston's hand, "This is crazy, I going to jump crazy."
We got a lot of outdoor time in which is good because the temperatures have dropped drastically and we are not prepared.
Winston moved up to a big bed. He is by far our most obedient child at night, though I can't see how he can sleep with all those bears. Every night when I kiss him good night he tells me, "So many bears in my bed."
The high light of the shipment arriving was getting their bikes. The lowlight was us realizing they are all too small. It hasn't stopped a lot of bike rides from happening. Thankfully Violet was able to stop herself from falling in a canal but only by a few inches.
Watching conference very closely.
Enjoying this trifle. Which I finished off for breakfast the next morning.

Yay! I just read all three of the newest post right in a row and as usual, they did not disappoint. You have a great voice, Sarah.
Congratulations on Baby Oscar! He is beautiful and I'm glad you're both healthy! On a side note--Hannah mentioned in her email last week something about Oscar Wilde and I was very curious whether he was actually the true inspiration for the name or not. "The Importance of Being Earnest" is definitely a masterpiece, but I think I like the real story even better. Your kids are the best.
