We're trying our best to settle in but our shipment doesn't arrive for a few weeks so we've been taking advantage of all the fun outdoor things to do.
Violet found a lot of tiny blue beetles on this hike and tried to smuggle them home.
We rented a croquet set and some other toys from the toy library (Ludotec) to hold us over for a few more weeks.
Hannah came.
We went to a castle and made our own crowns, swords and shields to fight the dragon.
Violet was from the land of raccoons. Her battle cry was, "Racoooooooon!"
First day at school. Eliot is going to international school and Violet is going to the local kindergarten just down the road. Rocky took her the first day and since then she has taken the bus. We are really impressed with her bravery. She has been sufficiently bribed with kinder eggs. I ask her everyday how she likes it and she says, "It's great" then I ask if she made any friends and she says happily, "nope."
Eliot loves her new school and asks if she can go everyday, all day.
We've been playing a whole lot of Bugs in the Kitchen.
My brother, Sam, had a 24 hour layover in Switzerland and we took advantage of his time and went hiking and cooked some hot dogs.
So far we are loving life here. Now if we could just figure out recycling.
