The weather has been lovely and we have been soaking up all of spring. I didn't realize how much I missed being outside or seeing the sun until it became an option.
Right after this picture, Violet face planted.
Violet is clutching the rare "Unicorn Emoji" that she found in this hiking stop. Emojis are a very clever promotion by one of the local grocery stores. You get a certain amount of small plastic toys, designed from the emoji signs used to text, based on how much you spend on groceries. The kids love them. I don't even normally shop at that store usually but it's become such a big deal to my children, that I've switched over for the month. Winston eagerly anticipates that each one will contain the rocket ship emoji. So far he has consistently gotten the angry face. Which is apt for his reaction.
Getting outside is good for everyone in the family.
If I ever design a backyard I will sub cow gates in for regular fences. Winston would never be able to leave.
Rocky was a much more sympathetic parent.
