Just a few random moments I don't want to forget:
On the count of three say, "my genetics prevent me from opening my eyes!"
Our stake has amazing childcare for their quarterly temple days. The last two have fallen when Rocky was traveling but for me it just means a peaceful few hours in the middle of a storm. It is definitely worth the 90 minute drive each way. The kids are thrilled because they get to play with their friends, do crafts, and we always stop at McDonalds on the way home. It's a win for all of us.
I really love apartment life. More than I ever thought I would. No snow removal, no yard work. one floor easy to clean and close to shops. One thing that is adjusting to is that when I want to send kids outside, I usually have to go with them. While our town is small and safe enough, Eliot can go out and play soccer alone, Winston requires more supervision.
This means when we go out, we usually all go together. Sometimes it's a bit of hassle but it's usually just the thing I need. On rainy days after being inside for hours it is refreshing to get outside and walk to the park. I'm hoping we can keep it up even when the snow starts. Because being outside is so important for me and I know it is for my kids too.
