And we have loads of bad iPhone pictures to show for it.
Every seat is a lie flat seat when you're two feet tall.
Winston just kept chanting, quietly to himself, "I'm on a train, I'm on a train." Violet functions all the time at the sound level of a blow horn. Prepare yourselves, Swiss neighbors.
Jet lag isn't so bad when this is your view.
It may have got the best of us for a few days but we survived.
After some hikes and picnics through the fields in our backyard I learned that five years in the city hase made me allergic to the outdoors.
Oh well. Tough life.
On Saturday to celebrate getting over jet lag, we headed up Mt. Rigi. Only 30 minutes from our house, it's home to the oldest cogwheel train. For only a small fortune you can buy a pass that allows you access to all the train and gondola lines on the mountain for a day. There are also loads of hikes and play grounds.
These girls are hiking champs. They were the only kids on the mountain not in hiking boots turns out birks and crocs aren't universal mountain shoes. Who knew?
They had the vintage 100 year old train out for some rides and it had a yellow car. Winston couldn't believe his luck when we got to ride on it. I think Switzerland will suit him just fine.
A trampoline with a view.
Filling their pockets with rocks.
So far we've been exploring our local village and parks (these are E and V's dementor outfits, we're a bit Harry Potter obsessed over here. The other day someone stole Winston's toy and he yelled at them, "Espesto patronus!")
And the local food: last night we had a chocolate tasting which just might have to become a regular part of our days.
There are a few things I feel pretty confident doing any where in the world. One of them in shopping at ikea. It's strangely comforting to know you can buy the same stuffed animals and drippy ice cream cones wherever Ikea lives.
Our shipment is expected to arrive sometime next month. Until then we are enjoying a kind of indoor camping with only the rented essential furniture. Turns out kids will play a lot with a couple of toys if that's all they have. They also resort to cutting paper in to tiny pieces. Which is what my floor is carpeted in right now. I better learn how to recycle that.

You are probably tired of hearing this, but what a view! You seem to roll with things quite well.
